Description: | Small piece from side of kylix. Inside, black; on exterior, a left forearm and hand holding a shield, left, of which the inside is seen. A spear shaft crosses the field, and the edge of the shield. The tasseled hand grip by which the shield is held, has two large dots on its mid-part. Part of arm-hold at lower left. Strap, brown, above. Outlines of shield rim incised with compass; relief contours. Good glaze. | |
