Title:   Red Figure Stemless Cup

Description:   About a third of the foot missing, with part of the floor and all of the rim. High moulded ring foot. In the medallion, which covers the entire floor, a cloaked youth, right, holding a thyrsos(?) in his left hand. Uncertain object at right edge of medallion, in its upper part a large glaze dot. Band of glaze around, then a reserved band, then glaze to break (traces of painted wreath). Exterior, the lower parts of two cloaked figures on either side of a handle-palmette. All very rough. The resting surface of the foot reserved; the space inside glazed, with a reserved band at junction of foot and a central disk decorated with two glaze circles and a dot.
Smeary glaze; white, with traces of pink over, for dots and a streamer on the thyrsos, and for two dots on the upper border of the cloak.

ADDENDA Remainder of floor and much of rim, plain, added from sherds. Altar behind standing figure; ivy wreath around inside of rim, stems and berry-clusters white, leaves reserved. Outside, two cloaked figures between palmettes at handles. Glaze peeled on upper part of one side.
