Title:   Red Figure Oinochoe Fragments

Description:   Fragment of body of oinochoe. Head of young satyr wearing ivy garland bound with a ribbon of added white. Relief contour for profile.
Much added from sherds:
a) Three pieces joining above and to left of satyr's head give wall and a bit of neck with wreath.
b) Five joining pieces give the full height of the neck with a little of the (trefoil) lip. Around the neck, a wreath of elongated leaves set in pairs on a straight stem; pairs of berries in added white, with yellow over, between; leaves and stem reserved and with relief contour.
c) Seven joining pieces give part of the front of the wall. At left the mid-part of the body of a satyr(?), right, bearded; his arms stretched above his head. In front of him, a sort of stand from which rises an upright; ivy leaves around the stand. At right, a man with a great grotesque head, probably a mask, left, playing the double flutes. He has on a type of shirt, and a cloak bunched up under his arms. He wears a broad fillet with a loop at the back. Relief contours.
d) A small bit of the lower wall with egg and dot border.
Glaze dull; inside, brown below shoulder.
