Title:   Red Figure Oinochoe Fragments

Description:   From a small oinochoe; several joining fragments make up to six and give part of lip, neck and shoulder, with the handle and most of the upper right corner of the figured panel. Several non-joining pieces give about two-thirds of the circumference of the wall above the base; nothing of the foot remains. The handle is triangular. At the right of the panel, a boy in travelling costume (short chiton, chlamys, petasos and sandals laced over stockings). In his left hand he carries two spears; he looks left, and stretches out his right arm; a tree, in added clay in the background, center. In lower left corner of panel, the legs of a horse, left. Egg and dot border below scene; narrow reserved bands at sides; nothing of upper border preserved.
Good black glaze outside; brown wash inside. A little relief contour.
Context:   Middle terrace, surface fill.
