Title:   Black Figure Cup: Banded

Description:   Mended from many pieces, part of the rim and fragments of wall missing. Broad disk foot, slightly concave on top, convex on bottom. In the handle zone, panther between two grazing deer, on either side; palmettes beside handles. Added purple for necks of animals and stripes on their bodies; for hearts of palmettes and their central petals. Reserved, underside of foot and its edge; band below figured zone; insides of handles; broad band on inner edge of lip; disk at center of floor, with dot and circle.
Fairly good black glaze, somewhat worn.
Context:   Sacrificial Pit = Grave 6, 2.
