Description: | Foot and about one-third of bowl preserved; profile complete. Perhaps intended to serve either as bowl or as lid. Very shallow cup with plain curving wall slightly thickened and rounded at lip, the lip offset outside. Low cup foot, conically hollowed on undersurface. Good black glaze over all, except on resting surface and edge of foot and at center of cone; around outside of wall a narrow band of added purple. Cf. Agora XII, no. 985. | |
