Title:   Amphora: Gray Ware

Description:   Fragments missing from wall and neck, lip entirely absent; restored in plaster, but without lip. Low wide slightly flaring ring foot, with two small circular grooves at center of underside. Plump body, with the maximum diameter at about the middle, below the handles. No real shoulder. Wide neck rises from body and is marked off from it by a ridge; outer face of neck concave. Two vertical band handles from neck to upper part of body.
Soft gray clay, slightly micaceous. Thin dull black glaze on exterior, much worn.
Bucchero ware?
Context:   Well, containers 3-7, context ca. 490-450 B.C.
