Title:   Jug with Gouged Decoration

Description:   Much of body and part of lip missing; restored in plaster. Tall slender ovoid body, the point of maximum diameter below the middle. Plain ring foot; no shoulder. Tall narrow neck with broad flaring moulded lip. Vertical ribbed strap handle. The neck slightly ribbed horizontally, the upper third of the body obliquely gouged.
Firm brown clay with bits.
