Description: | The medallion alone is preserved, broken all around. Within a circular groove, a relief head of a helmeted Athena, left. Soft buff slightly micaceous clay. Purplish-brown glaze-paint with a faint lustre on the interior. A horizontal split in the clay beneath the medallion suggests that the medallion was made separately and attached to the floor of the plate. | |
