Description: | a) Preserves part of upper wall with a trace of the concave curve of the neck. The head of a man wearing a broad dark purple fillet with hanging ends. He has a full beard and in front of his head appear the brownish-red flames of a torch(?) Cf. Hesperia 6 (1937), pp. 310-311. b) A fragment of the body, with a hand grasping a jug. There are traces of a preliminary sketch made with a dull point. c) Part of false ring foot and of lower wall. d) Small undecorated wall fragment. Fragments a) and b) decorated in outline technique with light purple to grayish matte paint. Brittle creamy-yellow Corinthian clay. No glaze or wash inside or out. | |
