Description:   Fragment from openwork stand.
Zone with start of ray with a broad base; palmette between large dotted leaves.
The palmette motif is a refinement on the clumsy trefoil ornaments of dotted leaves on the New York Nessos amphora. The drawing is firmer than that of most of our Protoattic sherds.
Orientalizing style.
Context:   Geometric area outside house; from between walls A-A and C-C above bedrock.
