Title:   Storage Amphora Fragment with Graffito
Category:   Pottery
Description:   All of the neck and rim, with part of one handle, and the other complete, with part of the shoulder. Rounded echinus rim, with raised band below; thick rolled handles, from shoulder to middle of slightly concave neck. Glaze on the rim, the shoulder and the outer face of the handles. On the reserved neck, front and back, double vertical zigzag to each side of double central concentric circles, compass-drawn. Three long strokes incised on one side of the neck beside the circles.
Coarse pink Attic clay with brown and white grits. Dull black to brown glaze, much peeled.

Common type of 7th. c. Attic amphora; fragments of nine more in tins.
