Title:   Red Figure Amphora Fragments

Description:   Thirteen non-joining fragments of a red-figured amphora with a panel on each side; once mended in antiquity.
a) Preserves the lower right corner of the panel on face A and the lower left corner of the panel on face B.
b), c), d), e) and f) From face A.
g), h), i) From face B.
j), k), l) and m) Uncertain wall fragments.
A: Framed by chevron band at sides; maeander with cross squares at bottom. Uncertain representation with parts of four draped female figures; one of them standing on something high, and moving right; on fragment d) apparently from left edge of panel, part of a wing.
B: Maeander below, a reserved line at the side. Two cloaked youths approaching a third draped figure (a woman?), who stands behind a pillar.
Relief contour only for the parts of two heads preserved on h) and i).
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Koukla deposit, layer II, Koukla factory fill proper.
