Title:   Black Figure Thymiaterion Fragments

Description:   Six non-joining fragments, some of them made up from several, come from the stem of one or more thymiateria. a), b) and c) from the mid-part of the stem, preserve parts of projecting moulded and decorated ridges; d), e) and f) appear to be from lower down on the stand.
a) Around the preserved moulding, dots linked by a zigzag; narrow reserved lines above and below. At the break above, the start of a second moulding.
b) A band of ivy leaves with red for the central stem and a red line below; here also the start of another moulding above.
c) The moulding has a concave upper face decorated with linked lotus buds(?); some of the buds are white. On the outer face, rays, alternately outlined and solid.
d) Preserves the flare towards the bottom; above, rays, alternately outlined and solid as on c); then three reserved bands; near the lower edge a pair of red lines.
e) A small piece with concave profile and a light ridge, red, above black rays or tongues.
f) Wall fragment with black glaze.
Fine clay, pinkish-buff to grayish; a) and e) are glazed inside. Outside, firm lustrous glaze; the mouldings carefully executed.
