Title:   Black Glaze Feeder: Sandled Foot

Description:   The front part of the foot broken away, and the ring handle. Mould-made pot in the shape of a sandaled foot, the top of the pot being just above the ankle. The top covered, and pierced to form a strainer; at the back a satyr-head mask in relief, pierced to form the feeding spout. The heavy sole of the sandal is indicated by a groove; the straps are indicated in low relief, passing from just above the heel, fastened to the sole at the sides wtih ivy leaf ornaments, and meeting over the instep in front.
Red to black glaze, worn.
