Description: | Rim fragment from a large kantharos or small krater. Vertical rim, a ridge at its bottom; its upper edge finished in shallow scallops. Rim separated from body by a broad indentation, almost a short neck. Below, narrow shoulder, and gently rounding wall. Large egg and dart pattern in relief just below shoulder. Pale pinkish-buff fabric; brown glaze inside; outside, remains of greenish-blue glaze and of white slip; also of brown. | |
