Description:   Mended from several pieces; the medallion complete, the walls fragmentary. Restored in plaster. Medallion, large gorgoneion (indistinct). Above a beaded ring; a triple row of small imbricated leaves with long-necked birds on their tips; then a row of palmettes. Above and between these, jewelled diamonds each tipped with a small leaf alternating with bearded masks. Upper zone, guilloche between rows of beading; above, pairs of reverse spirals topped by small leaves.
Black glaze; miltos in the scraped grooves.
Context:   Komos cistern.
