Title:   Moldmade Bowl

Description:   Mended from several pieces; fragmentary. Restored in plaster. Rosette in medallion; then a beaded ring and a zone of imbricated leaves. Above, large bearded masks alternating with smaller female masks, each of the latter having a small rosette above it. Upper zone: a row of small grooved leaves between two rows of beading. Above, pairs of reverse spirals topped by small leaves (very indistinct).
The glaze outside, black below, light reddish-brown above; inside, chocolate brown below, light reddish-brown at the rim.
Context:   Komos cistern.
