Description:   Late Roman B fragment. About a third of the bowl is preserved. On either side of a central medallion is a Christian monogram; the whole design surrounded by a circle of lozenges and a series of concentric grooves.
Fine red clay; thin red wash inside and out.
ADDENDA Fragments of floor with foot and outer decorated zone added from box 7 (same deposit) (JWH Nov. 1961). Added: contents of envelope in container Β 222 ("disturbed area IV.20.33") = 1 base fr. + 1 rim fr., 1 loose rim (P 1875b).
