Title:   Red Figure Bell Krater Fragment

Description:   Mended from two pieces; part of rim and upper wall preserved. Sharply flaring rim, decorated on its outer face with egg and dot pattern, between grooves. Reserved line below rim inside. Eros, wreathed, right; one knee sharply bent; hands outstretched as if to hold a necklace. Facing him, a woman, her left hand holding her drapery at the shoulder. Her hair is worn in a knot of curls projecting at the back, and is bound above the forehead by an ornamented stephane. Inside, the glaze is firm below, somewhat peeled at the rim; outside, almost entirely peeled. Traces of red wash in the grooves, and on the reserved surfaces. Relief contour for Eros' right knee(?).
