Title:   Bowl Fragments: West Slope

Description:   Two non-joining sections of rim and upper wall, each mended from several. Lip flat, insloping; undercut inside, with row of head and reel in white and yellow. On outer wall, a broad band of alternating checkerboard and diminishing rectangles in yellow and white with scraped grooves above and below and a wavy white line underneath.
Attic clay. Good black glaze; the grooves pink.
Context:   Square Building, fill over floor. Piers 13-14 east. To strosis level of bottom of 9th course.
