Title:   Potter's Test Piece with Hole

Description:   Irregular fragment from upper shoulder and neck of medium-sized closed pot, including stumps of vertical handle on shoulder. Above one-third of circumference of hole preserved. On outside, remains of "canonical" glaze; on neck, solid glaze; glaze band encircling base of handle; on outer face of handle, lower part of legs of St. Andrew's cross. Inside, solid glaze, running into hole.
Pinkish-buff clay. Red glaze, with occasional dark spots.
