Description: | Twelve joining pieces preserve part of lower half of closed pot, perhaps an amphora. Partially restored in plaster. Heavy ring foot, plump body with sides beginning to curve sharply on line of break. Red-brown clay; outside originally covered with white, most of which has vanished, and decorated with bands of dark brown glaze. Foot, dilute glaze; underside white originally. Inside unglazed. | |
