Title:   Storage Amphora Fragment

Description:   Neck, handles and part of shoulder preserved; mended from several fragments; small fragment of neck missing. Rounded rim; bulging neck, pushed in at either side by the handles, so that the mouth is oval; sharply sloping shoulder.
Purplish-pink clay with light surface. Dull brownish glaze on rim and for a thin line down the handles. A small circle with a hole as center on one side of the neck.
Fragments of one, probably two similar necks stored with pottery, in container 2.
Notes:   Previously North Basement-Jar Fragments, Block I (Pre-Persian).
Context:   Well east of Stoa room 2 (= ΘΡΑ well), containers 16, 19, 22.
