Description: | About half of bottom and lower wall preserved, and start of upper wall; chipped. Flat bottom; side concave in profile with a pronounced keel separating it from upper wall. Traces of wreath decoration in yellow and white on the top, which is marked off from the keel by a scraped groove. Dark buff clay, worn black glaze. Perhaps from a pitcher like Langlotz (1932), Würzburg, no. 844, or possibly inkwell. | |
