Title:   Red Figure Bell Krater Fragment

Description:   From wall of a large krater, close to the rim. The inside glazed, mottled red and black with a reserved band 0.012m. below the top of the fragment. Mended from two pieces. Head of boy to right; the eye and most of the boy's hair preserved. He wears a wreath of large leaves, reserved. The inner corner of the eye, drawn full face, is missing. No relief contour; the hairline reserved; the glaze of the hair is irregularly applied giving the effect of curly hair. The reserved band above, at the junction of body and rim, appears to have been rubbed with pink.
Context:   Late fill, red earth. Found with L 1049.
