Title:   Black Glaze Pyxis Fragment

Description:   Mended from several pieces; upper half missing, center of floor, and chips. High flaring ring foot, the lower part moulded in two degrees; groove on resting surface, apparently scraped. Rounded lower body set off by a broad keel from the upper wall. Vertical face of keel grooved.
Substantial pinkish-buff fabric, heavily laminated. Black glaze, once good, but so much chipped and worn that the reserved or scraped surfaces cannot readily be distinguished.
