Description: | [Originally identified as Squat Kantharos] Rim broken all around and handles missing. Heavy rim, built up hollow, its height corresponding almost to the full height of the wall of the bowl within; high base ring, the vertical face rounded outside; resting surface flat (not grooved), inner face concave. In the center of the floor a well, as in a fish plate. Good firm glaze, fired red inside, red to black outside. Reserved line at junction of wall and base outside; resting surface reserved. Center part of underside reserved and decorated with concentric bands and a dot. Careful work. | |
