Title:   Jug with Paint Decoration

Description:   Mended from many fragments and many bits missing from lip, neck and sides. Trefoil lip; flat bottom; gently swelling sides; single vertical strap handle. In an oval double frame on the central part of the side are several line designs: in an arc across the top of the panel, a reserved zigzag; below a series of parallel diagonals, alternately of open lattice-work and solid bands; again below, another reserved zigzag and an interlacing ovolo. Outside of the oval frame, on either side, alternate latticed and solid diagonal and an ellipse. On the lip, horizontal bands and splashes.
Buff clay; white glaze as background, except on foot and bottom; light green glaze on interior.
