Description:   Jug with Cut-Away Neck. Intact except rim chip and handle, broken but complete. Plump almost double conical body on rather high base, flat beneath. Profile irregular; handmade. Short straight neck, cut away for about half of its diameter. Rolled handle from base of lip to near middle of body. Linear decoration: the lip glazed inside and out, with a triangular area reserved (accidental) on the front outside. On the body, five sets of irregularly painted vertical stripes, triple at sides and double at the center, above two horizontal bands; the outer face of the foot glazed.
Buff clay, light buff slip; red-brown glaze.
Context:   Mycenaean chamber tomb at north side of Temple of Ares. Pot #24.
