Description:   Only a small bit of the circumference of the rim preserved, but the height is complete. Joins P 215. Restored in plaster. The rounded body narrows to a small flat base, and is pinched in towards the top, flaring again to form a sort of rim.
Two rows of broad rays, one from the edge of the rim, the other from the base, reach their points nearly to the middle of the body of the cup, which is encircled by three bands of light brown glaze. Between the points of the upper row, a dot enclosed by a circle. Inside glazed.
Pale buff clay. Glaze black to brownish-red.

ADDENDA Mr. Payne suggests that this cup may be Proto-Corinthian, though the pattern is unfamiliar [25 March 1932].
