Title:   Pitcher: Pseudo-Majolica

Description:   Mended from many pieces and restored in plaster. Large portions of body and mouth missing but profile complete.
Roundish body with short, thick, hollow stem and base, concave beneath. Round, open, flaring mouth. Double reeded handle ending below in plastic decoration. Beneath base is painted: <graphic> Decoration on exterior (much missing) apparently a bird to right (head only preserved) between floral ornaments. Reddish brown, yellow, blue and black used in decoration.
Buff clay, gray glaze inside and out.
Context:   Late pit, layer 4.
