Title:   Black Glaze Lekythos
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Lacking a few fragments of the body; restored in plaster. Spreading foot; broad flat resting surface; inner face of foot slopes up sharply to underside of convex floor. Round body. Narrow neck continuous with plain flaring rim, rounded on top. Drip ring at base of neck. Strap handle, with raised edges, rooted in shoulder and base of neck. Black glaze on all the exterior except the bottom, and on the interior of the neck. The glaze is variously worn thin, peeled and mottled with red. Narrow bands of color applied around the body at level of lower handle root. Color gone but traces remain. Bottom reddened.
