Title:   Black Glaze Skyphos: Corinthian Type

Description:   Missing one handle, parts of walls, and chips from base. Restored in plaster. Low spreading foot, with sharp outer edge; its underside is convex; no distinction between resting surface and inner face. The underside of the floor is also convex. Thin fabric, easpecially at and near the rim. Horizontal handle, its right root set higher than its left. Reserved areas: narrow band around inside of lip; inside of handles and space between handle roots; space on body above foot which contains single-line rays; underside of floor, which bears two glazed circles and a dot, and scraped lines around its outer edge. All but the first of these areas are reddened. Two bands in applied red around the body just below the handles.
Black glaze, mostly good but faded dull brown and slightly peeled in a band of irregular width around upper part of exterior.
