Title:   Black Glaze Lekanis

Description:   About half, including one handle, restored in plaster. Wide bowl with projecting lip, flat and sloping slightly inward. Flaring low foot. Handles attached below rim. Orange clay; firm rather dull black glaze; decoration of bands of purple paint in groups of two, inside around floor and below rim; on top of rim outside below rim and a single band around lower wall outside.
Context:   Trial cut above bedrock to S.W. of 4th. c. hole. Box 137.
