Title:   Oinochoe

Description:   Mended from many pieces; all of the mouth except at the handle attachment missing; also large fragments from the body, and part of the handle. Pear-shaped oinochoe on flat bottom, the sloping shoulder continuous with the neck; trefoil mouth; double-rolled rising handle. Broad glazed band above bottom; then narrow bands to a line just below the lower handle attachment; then a band of zigzags, a zone of animals and, above, solid glaze to the mouth. Outside of handle glazed. Figured zone is bordered by double lines above and three below, and set off to either side of the handle by a narrow panel composed of two pairs of vertical lines with a wavy line between. In figured zone, five quadrupeds, all running right. Zigzag filling ornament.
Buff clay; black glaze, very much worn.
Late Geometric.
