Title:   Oinochoe Fragments

Description:   Upper part mended from several pieces; rim, part of neck and most of handle missing; one wall fragment does not join; no join between upper part and bottom. Low ring foot; globular body; twisted handle. Body to shoulder covered with glaze bands alternating with reserved bands in each of which two narrow glazed bands. On shoulder, at center, panel of horizontal chevrons, framed by pairs of narrow bands; to either side, a water bird, facing in; then black glaze. On the neck, reserved panel at front; above, hatched maeander, with a central rectangle filled by horizontal chevrons; below, dotted double zigzag; all framed by narrow bands in twos and threes. Lip glazed.
Pinkish-buff clay; black glaze, much worn.
