Title:   Storage Amphora Fragment with Graffito

Description:   Upper part of amphora, mended from many pieces. All of rim, neck, handles and shoulder, except for small parts, preserved. Balloon body; short concave neck; heavy flaring rim, rounded on outside. Rim offset from neck by moulding. Rolled handles, attached below rim and on shoulder. Rim, outside of handles and body covered with glaze. On both sides of reserved neck zone three concentric circle ornaments, each with two circles and a compass mark. Somewhat below handles a reserved zone filled with four bands of glaze.
Scratched on base of one handle: <graphic>
Pinkish-buff clay; brown to black glaze, worn.
