Description:   Lower part only preserved. Large flaring stand with plain rolled lower rim.
A siren and a sphinx face each other across a large lotus and palmette ornament. Of the siren only the feet, tail and part of the wing are preserved. Of the sphinx the head and upper part of the wing are missing. At back, a tree. White for dots on wing and body of sphinx and on lotus and palmette ornament. Only a few traces of added red remain, mostly uncertain. Band of glaze on outer face of rim. Interior unglazed.
Context:   Archaic well.
