Title:   Spouted Pitcher

Description:   Much broken, small fragments missing; restored in plaster. Globular body; trough spout; spreading neck with plastic ring at junction of neck and shoulder; band handle with a ridge down the middle finishing in a boss.
Running spiral around base of neck; on shoulder, concentric semicircles, forming a schematized lily pattern; neck and top of handle glazed.
Buff clay. Glaze once black, but much peeled, so that the details of the decoration are uncertain. A hole pierced through the handle at each attachment.
Context:   Mycenaean Chamber Tomb to N.W. of Stoa Pier 19 (ΣΑ 7); S.E. corner on chamber floor.
Handling:   Handle with great care. The adhesive is failing and the vessel is in a fragile state.
