Description:   Mended from several pieces; the body complete on one side, to the start of the neck; on the other side much is missing from the shoulder. Several wall, neck and rim fragments do not join. Pair of mending rivets in neck. Rolled rim; band handle from below rim; horizontal rolled handles at point of greatest diameter; deep ovoid body on ring foot.
Decoration: on neck, bands. On shoulder, groups of verticals, then a broad band between narrow ones, and a wavy line in the handle zone. Broad and narrow bands below. Two curved lines, crossing at top and bottom, on the vertical handle; two stripes on the horizontal handles.
Buff clay with bits. Smooth buff slip. Dull red glaze, worn.
Context:   Well under rubble wall of predecessor of Square Building, box 11.
Handling:   Dust-free
should not be brushed.
