Title:   Stamnos with Glaze Decoration

Description:   Mended from nine fragments. Base, about half of walls, one handle and lip fragment missing. Plastered but not completely. Broad ovoid jar with plain vertical rim; heavy rolled horizontal handle set just above point of greatest diameter; a raised boss on wall to either side. Nine small holes on and near handle and in wall above and below: ancient mend?
Pinkish clay with overall red glaze wash. Decorated with bands and palmettes in darker reddish-brown.
Context:   Well to north of Nymphaeum, Boxes 53, 54, 55. Context ca. 420-400 B.C.
