Title:   Vessel Fragment: Argive

Description:   Fragment from the wall of a vase, its inside unglazed. The panel is bound below by three narrow lines, to the left by at least four similar lines. On the left side of the panel is a vertical band of cable pattern, father to the right a tendril with a bud at its end. Beneath the panel is the tip of a base ray.
Fine pinkish-buff clay fired yellow on the surface both inside and outside. The glaze is a cinnamon brown. The tendril and bud are outlined in this glaze but filled in with a pinkish-buff paint; the petals of the bud, and one half of the cable pattern are in outline only; the other half of the cable, and the ray, are solid.
