Title:   Black Glaze Lekanis

Description:   Mended from several pieces; largely complete. Large open bowl on flaring ring foot; narrow horizontal rim and inner vertical rim to take lid; broad ribbon handles at rim.
Glaze rather thin and somewhat mottled. Reserved are: the insides of the handles and the handle spaces; the outer face of the vertical rim, this with a purple band; the resting surface and the space inside the foot beneath.
Added red: two pairs of narrow bands inside, and a broader band outside below the handles.
Thin hard light pinkish-buff fabric.
Context:   Well beneath Stoa gutter, boxes 39-46.
