Description:   Intact save fragment from mouth. Substantial ring foot; plump ovoid body; vertical neck; rolled rim; small rolled side handles; short band handle from below rim to middle of shoulder.
Decoration in matte red paint: horizontal bands widely spaced; wavy lines on shoulder and in handle zone.
Orange-buff clay, full of grits, once surfaced with fine light buff, now very largely flaked away, carrying with it much of the glaze decoration.
Non-Attic fabric. For a somewhat similar shape and decoration cf. the hydriae from the purification pit at Rheneia, Délos XV, pls. X-XI.
