Description: | Lower half, and a shoulder and upper wall fragment preserved. General type as P 24316 (ΣΑ 2526): This is the characteristic general type for the large proportion of the lekythoi from this group. Bell mouth with variations in height and spread; lip usually reserved, occasionally glazed. Disk foot of varying thickness; below picture either one or two reserved lines. Added colors more or less well preserved. Only substantial variations are noted in the following descriptions. Shoulder: rays preserved. Scene: three draped figures holding spears. "Arming" group. | |
