Title:   Plate Fragment with Rouletting: Stamped

Description:   Late Roman C plate. Mended from six pieces; restored in plaster. About one-quarter of the rim, fragments of the sides and bottom missing. False ring foot; flaring sides; nearly vertical rim. Rouletting on outside of lip and in two concentric circles on floor. On the middle of the floor, a bird(?) right.
Reddish clay; thin red glaze inside and out.
ADDENDA A small floor sherd with rouletting added from box 23 (same layer) (JWH, Nov 1961)
