Description: | Mended from several pieces; the small ring base preserved complete, and parts of two opposite sides, one to the rim, giving the profile complete. The sides curve outward, and are finished with a straight rim, on the preserved portion of which is a small head, in relief, facing. The face is youthful, and the hair, parted in the middle, hangs to shoulder length. On the bottom of the cup, inside, in a foot-shaped stamp, the signature: CNAΛ Fine pink micaceous clay; fair red glaze over all. Western Sigillata. | |
