Title:   Black Glaze Pyxis Lid with Graffito
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Small chips on outer edge of rim, on top. The lid is edged on its underside by a ledge which keeps it in place. A groove runs around the top, just inside the rim. Below the rim, a narrower groove.
Graffito scratched on upper surface.
Light reddish-buff clay. Fairly good glaze; reserved are: the grooves, the upper half of the outer edge, a ring on the underside, immediately inside the supporting ledge.
