Title:   Black Figure Neck Amphora Fragment

Description:   Mended from many fragments. Neck with stub of one handle preserved.
A) Male siren standing with outspread wings. Filling ornament of rosettes and "budding" hook spirals. Red for fillet, upper part of wings and alternate(?) feathers. Incision freely used.
B) Grazing horse. Filling ornament as on A, plus a geometric design under belly. Red probably used on mane. Incision freely used.
On outer edge of mouth, diagonal zigzags. Two black bands inside neck.
The glaze generally badly flaked, giving a "faded" appearance.
